It isn't always you can date a piece of glass, accurately anyway...never! mind who actually made it, and I know those of you that love glass often come across that same problem, as I do... and understand how frustrating it can be .. sooo!! when you actually can.. how wonderful is it??...BUT!!!... when you see it documented in a book...well!!! that is very exciting and special...:-))
This a a wonderful very old Harrach weissglat (white glass) Malachit glass goblet/vase from 1862... and it is documented in the Harrach book, I have added the page for you to read, you also see some wonderful examples of this glass also in the Passau Museum.
This would be one! of the examples supplied to the ‘Franz Pelikan’s Nachflger Co’ between 13 of February & 18 0f November 1862.
It is in wonderful condition for it's age with not one chip just some light wear to the enamelling...
It stands...20cm or or just under 9 inches tall
Another TRIUMPH, INKY !!!!!
Love HISTORISMUS !!!!!

Hello inky
Well, add to the others they raise together.....wondefull.
I just read tonight actually about the older Harrach, with this decor.
What a coincidence.
I love it.

An astonishing piece and so good that it's found the perfect home!
Glorious! The document part is so interesting too, BRAVO Inky :-)

I love this Inky! The applied prunts add so much character to the piece!! Isn't it so exciting to find one of your pieces in a reference book?
This is truly a most fantastic find!!!! Do envy your skill!! Another great big pat on the back inky!!! Well done!!
Love this! Great piece!
inky, that is an amazing vase - very special. And what terrific condition it is in, too! It is far older than any pieces I have in my collection! ;) You have such a great eye for these things!
Inky you must source glass from places no-one else knows about! Well done!!
Without the crest I think the decor on this is kinda funky - little flowery things, bold lines, and then there is those prunts! They just get me in...
