All I can find out is that that is the crest of the house of Saudi Arabia. Bottom says stainless steel made in R.O.K (I know what that is) and then it has an Arabic makers mark symbol on bottom. Too small to take a good picture. Can anyone please tell me anything about when it was made and for what purpose!! Doesn't ever look like it was used!

      Welcome to CW Deb_Rose!
Please don't be offended by my facetious comments, I couldn't resist ;-)

Lucky you to get a man with stainless stell inscribe on bottom, rare piece!

Too small to get a good picture?
      -Come closer :-)

      When it was made?
      -I'd say about 30/35 years ago :-)

      For what purpose?
-Sitting on the couch, watching tv!

"Doesn't ever look like it was used!"
If it is your's, it is time to use it before he gets older ;-))

For the piece really concerned, I think it could be a kind of trophy or commercial gift though there is no company name on it.

Decorative teapot. The palm and crossed swords is the emblem of KSA, so maybe it was retailed in the Kingdom.

Could be a "Republic of Korea" maker.

The emblem is the House of Saudi Arabia The makers mark is an S with an A over top another. the middle of the S makes the middle cross line of the A. Also Says Stainless Steel 18-8 then made in R.O.K. which is republic of korea. I was more wondering if it was a one of a kind or commissioned for someone in particular Since the matching tea warmer has the emblem on it and I can find nothing of the sort online. My fiance took a closer look in it and there was evidence of it being used.

I collect beer steins and old teapots. All I have been able to identify except for a set of steins (all they say is A, B, and C) and then this teapot. I even have a smash stein that was commissioned for a private wedding and I was able to find out who for and when. This dang teapot really seems to elude me! I like to know the history to my pieces. I get called an old soul all the time for my love of old things.

It looks like a higher grade decorative teapot for the region. Tea drinking is an important part of every social event in the region. Certainly it could have been used for a special event or just something when having guests over.

I have seen SIMILAR but not this exact type.

Is/ was it popular to have a "one of a kind" made for a specific person??

I don't believe that this is unique.
