There has been Snowflake Glass here on CW before but I am posting these bits quickly in response to AnneLander's post.
I don't know which factory in China made Snowflake, but they made lots of it, and to a high standard.
Typically their glass is on a pastel ground; green, yellow, blue, pink, white, cream. To this is added a swirl of coloured glass, generally in darker colours of blue, brown, yellow and red. The item has then been cased in clear and clear feet and handles added.
I have 6 glasses that would have had a matching jug at some stage.
The jugs in their water sets varied in shape and some are just fantastic!
Vases varied in size but generally had a fluted top. They sometimes had a foot or handles added.
1970s, and I guess earlier and better than some may think of Chinese glass!
Great information, Karen. I've seen these in the UK but never knew their origin until now.......
WOW BEAUTIFUL!!!
Thanks Peggy and Sean.
