    I have seen this design by Iwatsu executed in clear glass and was pretty excited to find this one in neodymium.

    It's an unusual thing for Iwatsu - they didn't often make a completely moulded form like this in their larger works.

    It's very Sklo Union in style, and I'm sure with the flat ground base that they have been misidentified many times. Having said that, I have only ever seen this design for sale in Japan, so I don't think it was an export model.

      Reminiscent of Sklo Union indeed and Vlaclav Hanus in particular. However I think this is altogether prettier as it has a less regular, more fluid, look to it. Gorgeous!

      Peggy I thought of that Hermanova Hut drapery vase when I first saw these but like you, I think the lack of uniformity here works better. Thanks - and of course you knew the designer name!!
