See what happens when I start to dig into my old cell pics of things....LOL

Vintage Blue Train Case. From around the 1960's / 1970's era. In good shape ........and it still HAD its mirror!! Very popular in its day. I know it was stamped somewhere something like *as commissioined by the Queen* as she had used something like this, and then it became all the Rage for everyone to have. Again from my old cell phone files, so sorry for poor pics...

Thanks, and Thanks for looking !!!

Queen Elizabeth II chose Globe-Trotter for her honeymoon luggage in 1947 (and continues use her cases to this day)**. Sir Edmund Hilary ascended to first base camp with Globe-Trotter during his conquest of Everest in 1953.""""

      I love these train cases
always on the hunt for them
have two, one blue and one ugly brown
found both of mine at thrift stores and use them for make-up and such.
Paid $5.00 each for mine...which I consider a good deal.
Online shopping for these can get costly so I always check out second hand shops.
One of mine smelled very old....so I put some dryer sheets in there and closed it up for a week...no old smell now :)

      Hello Radegunder,
I purchased a cream coloured Globe-Trotter train case that looks identical to yours from a thrift store. I scoured the internet and yours was the only one I could find that was the same style by Globe-Trotter. (There was one other red one sold on Etsy but it varied slightly in style) Perhaps the vintage train cases by Globe-Trotter are rare?
So fascinating to think about the travels these little cases have experienced. I will be sure to post some photos of mine once I clean it up
