As usual it's impossible for me to own just one of something. And equally impossible for me to just say "Two rings from the 1960's". Whenever I see a vintage item and say, "Wow! I have one of those almost identical to that", well, I'm sure some kind of "flawed" collector gene lights up and immediately sends a signal & then I have to have the second example. Then it's just a matter of time before I'm diligently searching for a third example or even a fourth. These two were several years apart. The 1st, an estate sale. The second, a pawn shop. Now the owner of the pawn shop in this medium size southern town, not far from where I live, was a "mom & pop" operation. And the old guy told me, after I said I had one very similar if not exactly like his, He remembered when he saw many of this exact style ring. He went on to say that this was a style made popular from a pinky ring worn by someone in a late 1950's or early 1960's "gangster movie" and for a short time they were made to capitalize on that popularity. He could not recall the name of the movie. Is it true? I'm not sure. I've never seen the movie and I've never seen any more for sale or being worn like these two here. What makes this pair kinda cool, is that one of the rings is 10k and the other is 14k. They both have 7 nice diamonds of like size and the rest of the "ring part" on both is very close to being exact. I thought possibly made from a mold from back in the day. One that was sold to "ring makers". But with the two rings here, both being a little different, it would have to have been two different "molds. Have no idea why I just "rambled" on about a couple of rings I have, but it just didn't seem complete without sharing how I was told they came to be. So anyway.... (I've really got to start working on my written communication, and finding a way to not be so long winded) Sorry...

      Hi,
My father actually used to rock this very ring on his ring finger ever since I could remember. He passed away about 2 1/2 years ago and left me with it.
I am trying to find out more about the ring myself. I have the 14K yellow gold with the 14K white gold detailing. I'm not sure what the total weigh of the diamonds are, but if I had to guess I would say about 1.25c.

I own one just like this. I purchased it NEW in a Rent America store in Rockingham NC between 94-96. If interested, I would gladly send a picture of me wearing said ring. I do not wish to sell it.

I also had one that looked Very Much like yours in the 1960's. I purchased mine while I was in Army, from a mail order ad in a magazine, or comic book! The ad said "Men's Diamond Cluster Ring", "500 dollars", But "Send No Money", for a Free 30 day Trial Period. I believe the Company was out of Los Angeles California. I sent it back before the 30 day time period ended, as I had no intentions of paying it off, and was surprised they even sent it to me in the first place. I don't remember the Gold or Diamond Carrot values, as it's been 47-48 years ago now!
PS: Elvis Presley Owned a Very Similar Ring that he gave away to his Cousin Patsy. Open link below, and scroll down about 2/3 rd's to see it.
