Just got this nice Green/Red WELZ Stripes and Spots Candy dish with the often seen (in Europe) PeDeBe label. I love this Dish! measures (4 1/2" wide by 4 1/4" tall). I already had the purple one and it is a perfect match with the green one. I would say that these are two of the hardest to find colors of this décor...I am glad to have them.
Absolutely lovely.....and interesting that you consider these colours to be among the hardest to find.
Nice examples.
I believe the PéDéBé label/mark is an importers or retailers mark. I have also seen it on the underside of some china pieces, such as a small enameled dresser set. In the case of the dresser set, it was also clearly marked as originating in Czechoslovakia.
Beautiful Welz!
scott
how beautiful...
Thanks SKLO42...In my opinion, I would say for this décor that the red base color (yellow spots usually) is the more common color and I would rank it as follows from hardest to find to more common (my opinion)
1. Blue base
2. Purple base
3. Yellow Base
4.Green base
5. Pink Base
6. Red base
The spot colors can sometimes vary but they are usually seen as follows:
1. Blue base/Red or Yellow spots
2. Purple base/Yellow spots
3. Yellow Base/Red or dark green aventurine spots
4.Green base/Red or Yellow spots
5. Pink Base/Blood red(dark brownish) or/also dark green aventurine spots
6. Red base/Yellow or Red spots (more rare)
There are probably other colors in this décor that I have yet to see.
Interesting info Craig!
Thanks AnneLanders!
