Picked this up at the Salvation Army today for $5.00. I believe it to be a vintage door stop. It appears to be a long haired lady reclining with a goose or swan in the background. It has no markings as to maker. Very smooth surface almost like steel. Overall size 7 1/4 inches wide x 3 3/4 inches tall by 1 3/4 inches deep and weighs about 3 0r 4 pounds. Just liked it on sight. Anyone know anything about this?

Thanks for the info inky and antique rose, it is appreciated. Funny how when given the right answer, you realize how obvious the item's purpose is.
