This is a church garage sale find: It cost me 50 cents Canadian! For all of you in the USA, this means that my ring was almost free – LOL
The ring is very well constructed and heavy. Although it looks almost like a hematite it is actually a glass cabochon. I am not too sure about the age but my guess would be 1970 – 1980’s.
Thanks for looking:)
Beautiful ring, I love those piecrust settings. :)
Stunning ---- and A Steal, EH my fellow Canuck?
Rats, no other marks on it!!
Thanks so much for all of your comments! I am a bargain shopper. I guess we Canucks are notorious for that, antiquerose, eh? Getting a good deal/steal makes the hunt a bit more exciting.
I didn't know that this setting was called piecrust. Thanks for your information, katherinescollections. I love to learn!
And yes, nutsabotas6, this is my kind of buy too. By the way, I also got sterling earrings with an onyx stone for another 50 cents. I believe they are Mexican too but they are only marked 925. I didn't post them yet because they need a really good cleaning.
I love it it's not over the top & looks well made for those times. Over here they seemed to produce a lot of silver jewellery & sell it through the markets. Not saying that's were yours came from the style just reminded me of them. Thanks for the memory.
Many thanks, Zowie, Trey, mikelv85, racer4four, vetraio50, kyratango, and aghcollect:)
Ha, freiheit, that's just my fancy, maybe because I like to bake pies, lol. Can't wait to see the earrings! :)
It's a pleasure early I gave you a Silver site I hope it comes in handy. Have a top day or night which ever comes first. I'm up with the crows
