We have two of these chair as shown in the pictures , one had been re upholstered at some stage and the other looks original. The chairs are small .. as can be seen by the cat walking behind one in one of the pictures (about 50cm high at the back and just over 54cm wide). Does anyone know the era or correct name of these? Someone once told me they are apprentice chairs or child armchair / lounge chairs? We plan to have both of them re-upholstered and would like to know a little more about them before choosing fabrics /colours
