would love to know if anyone has ever seen something like this before, I found it in grandmothers attic . it is full with a brown colored liquid which I assume is vermouth because the cork is in tact. it appears to have never been opened. the paint I quite old and shows signs of chipping in several places. the head comes off and I can see clear glass under the paint. any info would be awesome.
Vermouth di Torino - Viarengo Italy - can't tell the circa although the one shown here has a store label on the bottom when the phone numbers only had 3 digits;

Here's another one says circa 1901-1925;

love all the info that was submitted, but my big question is ... what is it worth... if it has any value I would love to know

im not sure if this is a good or bad thing, but, the vermouth is still in the bottle, it has never been open. was wondering if that would make it more valuable or not? and should I empty the bottle if I sell it and have to ship it? not sure if it is legal to ship a full bottle of liquor
