Another 60s effort from HG , this vase shows some very typical characteristics of Japanese glass around then.
1. Size. It's gotta be big. 27cm
2. It's gotta be heavy. 3.1kg
3. Keep the shape simple, and base it on a pottery shape.
4. Start with a dark glass (here black).
5. Add some colour. Then add some more. Let your creativity loose.
6. Thickly coat with clear glass for that clean, fresh, colourful look.
7. Hot finish the rim.
8. Grind the base flat. If needed, pistil grind the scar. Make it shiny now!
9. Don't sign! Just add a sticker.
10.Repeat.
Bold, Big.....and Beautiful !!
