Hello. We bought this desk with the idea of painting it and using it in our new home office. When we pulled a lot of tape off the top we discovered that it is a leather top desk. We don't know anything about the age and we're hoping someone could tell us something about it. We think it's a french provincial style from the 1950's but that's only speculation. Also is it difficult to restore the top.
