    Thought I would post this Glass Perfume bottle I had for several years. Displays very well. Blues and hues with Mottles white areas. Very pretty. Polished Bottom. The Gold & Black Foil Label says:

    I. W Rice & Co. Inc NY NY
    I-Rice
    Ma______________

    Appears that "IW Rice & Co. of New York" is an importer of perfume and cosmetic type items from all over the world. Seems some are marked Japan, but others are unmarked RE: the country of origin. That is about all I know about them....

      This IRice label was often used on Japanese pieces, but all the one I have seen have been cut glass. I couldn't say if this one is from there or elsewhere.

      Rose, I would guess this one is made after mine, so perhaps Japan. :)

      @Katherine - You could be right. On the label where the name of place should be -- is missing.

      Mine does have more of a Modern feel to it. Great to have these post as we try to understand makers and their labels.....and IMPORT labels
