I got these earrings some time ago, and when I saw some similar ones on the weekend, I decided to post mine. Because my earrings are unmarked and I found them in a pile of junk, I really don’t know anything about them. They could be old or a recent reproduction, who knows.
Here is what I see: The earrings are in perfect condition. No stones are missing. All stones are clear and shiny and they have been set rather than glued. The backs of the stones are open. The metal is very shiny too (on the photos there is a yellow shine – but that is only an illusion). I believe that the metal could be plated with something. The earrings are not magnetic.
The earrings have a screw-on system but the actual nuts seem to have been replaced.
Based on the style I would say that they could be art deco. I posted a pair earlier on CW but the quality of the earlier pair of earrings is really bad in comparison. For example, the other pair has glued in rhinestones and was made of what appears to me to be some kind of pot metal.
Thanks for looking:)
Thanks a lot, valentino97 and aghcollect:)
To borrow Sean's word, these are stunning, freiheit.
Have them tested for gold/precious metals. You didn't show the back and the pics are too blurry to tell but from what I see, it's worth trying.
Thanks, katherinescollections:)
Thanks so much for your comments, lisasround2 and davyd286.
When I had a look at these earrings I noticed that they were better made than similar costume earrings. I cleaned them with liquid soap and water and the stones remained clear. I checked several times for marks but there are none. I think, even if they are costume earrings, they are nicer than most of them. I will try to take better photos, including the back. I have to take some of my pieces to the jeweler for repair and might take these earring to have the checked out. You never know:)
Lisasround2, I did! I appreciate any help or comment to figure out what my items are!
Many thanks: Moonstonelover21, kyratango, Elisabethan, Agram.m, Trey, racer4four, vetraio50, mikelv85, JoyB, aghcollect, and valentino97 :)
Freiheit, agree with Lisa for the screw nut, but not for stones beeing rosecut.
Anyway, a pic of the back of the mount could help before having it tested :-)
Are they heavy or light? I know, very subjective, but when in hand you may suspect rather silver or gold :-)
Even better, Lisa, wish could wearing them ;-)
Okay Freiheit ? (Risk nothing to ask, uuh?)
I am easy going, ladies; everything is fine with me. You can look, hold, or wear them - problem is I am in Canada. For that reason it's only virtual - LOL
Here is a link to a pair of rhinestone and potmetal (?) pair of earrings I posted earlier. You can tell right away that they are costume jewelry.

Right for pot metal on these! It is obvious the others are highest quality and fine metal...
Thanks for looking at the other ones, kyratango:)
Always a pleasure :-)
Oh, I didn't know you are in Ontario too!
Yes, fun is good. I like fun - there are too many problems out there and I don't need any:)
Uuh... Your Sherman brooch disapeared just as I wondered why comments were deleted...
Valentino97, the world (or/and CW) works in mysterious ways :)
I am glad you like them.
kyratango, I didn't delete the comments. I was typing my response and when I posted it, the other comments were gone. I did take the pin down, however, because I didn't want any misunderstandings or hard feelings.
