The print in picture number two above when enlarged seems to hint this card was from Jacksonville Florida and printed in 1886. I know postcards go back to the very early part of the 20th century, but I am unsure if this card goes back almost another 20 years. Could this card be approx 125 years old? Maybe... I do know that out of all the postcards I have in my collection, this one is different in many ways and also while in pretty good condition, the others look much newer and are in far better shape than this one. I know there are those out there that collect this type of paper and probably have a "degree" in these type of correspondences. I welcome any help on getting to an actual age of this particular card as well as the others I have. I know coins well. And I know jewelry pretty good, but postcards are an entirely different animal that I have much to learn about. Thanks in advance for any help anyone could render.
Hi - I am not an ephemera guy but I did sort a grouping of several hundred very old real picture post cards in the past year and used inforomation at the link below to help with general date ranges. While there are many post card people who can do better than this, it is a place to start. Best - Matt

Thank you Matt AKA mbillings for your comment and for the link you provided. It is most helpful when fellow collectors here go that "extra mile". I just responded to a comment by Savoychina1 who is constantly providing such links to myself and others, and going the extra mile. I know "I" appreciate those of you, like yourself and her that do this, (some make a habit of doing this on a regular basis) as I am sure the rest of our fellow collectors appreciate it as well. Thanks for taking the time to look, and in addition, for taking the time to comment and assist.
Regards, Kerry
WOW! I just checked out the link you provided and just in a few short minutes, I've learned a treasure trove of info. At just a quick glance, it's safe to say that most of the cards I've posted are before 1917. This one here may be pre-1900 Thanks again for that link!
The postcard is post-1907 because it has a divided back.
