This is the painting I picked up at Goodwill along with the glass sea shell. I think it's from the 19th century although the frame looks newer with it's non glare glass. They hadn't opened the back but I did after I got it home. I cleaned the glass and looked for the signature I thought was hidden by the matte. It's glued in place so no luck there. The painting is done in watercolor on a rather thin piece of paper. It's wrinkled a bit and there are a two spots of damage. A couple pin size holes and a long scratch. I think that probably happened when the original frame and glass broke. There was some writing on the back as well but I can't really make it out. The name Cunningham is written in ink on the back edge of the frame. So that's either the artist or the name of the family that had it framed. A nice little landscape at any rate. -Mike-
