consol/library table

Bought this table local for $50.00.......its super cool, but I haven't been able to determine age, locality, and what kind of wood its made of. Its definatly hand made, there are to many flaws, there is straight saw marks, and there are worm holes. The underside unfinished wood shows age, but there is phillips screws used (1938 to present): I think possible someone modified it by cutting in a spot for a glass top, which the glass is beveled, and replaced the old screws for newer. I will post more pics......any help would be appreciated....thank you!
