Found this today. Label on the bottom. Can't read it -- but hoping someone else can read it. It also has a wood pipe inside which looks handmade too. You can smell the Pipe tobacco in it as this was USED. Pretty neat with all those little carved extra things that we made for it ( Pelican, ax, ladder, bird nest.....etc ). PLUS gotta loved the little Cabin itself.
Size is:
~ 10 inches LONG
~ 7 inches WIDE
~ and 9 inches TALL.
I know it IS a Humidor -- just can't read the label

UPDATE - MYSTERY SOLVED BY: IVONNE
From / Made in: Ukrainian Socialistic Soviet Republic, Ternopilska oblast' - ternopil area in west Ukraina.
Specifally made in Berezany. Called " A Hucul cottage". Hucul area is located in west Ukraina and has its own specific folk art,especially pottery with characteristic patterns.
What the label says ( Thanks to Ivonne to Translating it) :
From the top:BEREZANSKI LISGOSPZAV (name of the manufactory)
Termopilskoi oblasti ( Ternopol province)
Nazva vyrobi Huculskaia chatka (the name of item Hucul cottage)
Razdribna cina (retailed price 18,80 rubel)
Nomer (number...) I guess it's a number of te manufactory
Artikul (Item no 11 g)I'm not sure last letter
Data vypusku (the date of production Dec.1974)

Very cool Rose... I know it's Russian, but it remind me of something made in the Black Forest Ge.
Nice folk art,Rose:)! I would say it is not exactly Russian but Ukrainian,because of the letters i with one and two points and an abbreviation YPCP which means URSR - Ukrainian Socialistic Soviet Republic.Also it was made in Ternopilska oblast' - ternopil area in west Ukraina.
