The coca cola toys are all original and mint in the box. Very hard to find today with boxes. The Marx Coca Cola truck is from 1952 and still has the brown wax paper in the box for packaging. Most of the other toys are original....the 1935 Buddy l standard tanker is restored it is 27" and is a ride and pull toy and built like a tank. The Smith miller PIA truck is all original and near mint. The metal they used to make these toys is the same they used to make cars back then. A child could sit on the red standard oil truck and ride it. Look out mom's furniture. The pure oil truck has been restored with a NOS grille. The “sweetheart grille “ has never been reproduced so restorations are difficult with this toy. The toy sure has the Art Deco design . Those were some of the best air flow designs ever.
Hope you enjoy.
That is an impressive collection. We could be looking at a grand or so worth of toys. Those things are going for the big money.
Thanks mint in box toys are really hard to find, but the hunt is the fun part of collecting. I've sold over 50 pressed steel toys over the past 10 years and they just keep going up. Condition,condition and condition is everything. It's fun buying and selling.
Very nice!
Love these old toys
The Pure Oil Tanker is Awesome. I'm still lookin' for one that hasn't been restored.
Buckethead thanks for looking. That pure oil truck is unfortunately restored. I've been looking for an original near mint for the past 15 years. They just aren't many out there. Most of my collection is original and not restored.
Coke1234...I know what you're sayin'. I should have purchased an original back twenty years when one was available w/box. I thought the guy was nuts for his asking price. I realized I'm nuts for not buying it at the time. Good luck on finding one. I still think yours looks awesome. Merry Christmas to you and yours.
Buckethead....Even the restored pure oil trucks are asking big money on eBay these days. There is one on eBay for a whopping $3K !! I was lucky and bought a original near mint sweet heart grille from a vender years ago. Still might use it on a metalcraft toy in the future.
I know a guy (8 years now) who owns an old country store in my town (the only store because it's a small town) who has TONS of these types of toys/models. From semi's to trucks, to cars, to flatbeds, to construction, and even more. Some still in the box. He brings new things in the store all the time from barn finds and whatnot. Great models!
FYI. That sweetheart grille on the metalcraft toys are not reproduced now or in the past. It very rare to find a mint one today.
A++ Nicely Done....sweet grille.....certainly a keeper.
Yeah those sweetheart grilles are not reproduced today , which making restoration very difficult .
Cool Trucks Extravaganza!
Thanks lata for your comment hope u enjoyed .
