I recently found this beautiful antique clock in my late grandparents' "forgotten" attic.
I really love it, but I cannot find much info on it, and unfortunately neither does my father.
Here's what I found so far:
1. On the front quadrant I can make out "L Caisso et Cie, Paris, bld de la Madeleine" which was an antique shop in Paris, so I take it they were the reatailer (which I confirm, see UPDATE1).
2. The mechanism reports a serial number and the small imprint "Medaille d'Argent Vincenti 1855" so I'm guessing that's the brand of the mechanism.
3. The mechanism also has the initials "L.C" which might simply be again "L Caisso" making their stamp also in the mechanism?
UPDATE 1: with a little more search I found out (the only link for Caisso et Cie on google!) that Caisso et Cie was still on Blvd de la Madeleine in 1907, listed as an antique shop on the "Paris et Environs Handbook for travelers" (..like a 'Lonely Planet' guide?!) by Karl Baedeker.

Does anyone recognize the name (or can correct it if I'm wrong, I included a close up), or do you have any keywords/info to search for that might not be the obvious ones?
Thank you for any help
Cheers
