A pair of what I believe are graniteware lunch pails. I am sure about the graniteware part, not quite as sure about the lunch part but I am pretty sure.
Back in the day lunch would be a stew of some sort. Probably made from last night's dinner which was probably already a stew. These would be reheated which is why it has the heat dissipating handle.
The small one which is 7 1/2" tall at the top of the lid had the spoon tied to it when I bought it. Looked good to me so I left it that way.
The larger one I just bought and it is 10 1/2" tall to the top of the lid.
Will have to guestimate pre 1930 for this.
I'm in a stew as to what my answer should be!
Great things.
