I've never seen such a vase before and this is a mystery for myself why I purchased it.
Yesterday we went to a huge flea market ,two hours drive from our place. There was plenty of different glass, but I didn't buy what I really wanted.Another mystery why.I couldn't make up my mind ,when I eventually decided it was too late - someone else was faster.
In a word,I wasn't satisfied and perhaps I bought it to have a souvenir from our trip and perhaps I gave in to seller's marketing skills.
After long searching,I googled one vase with applied fish on ebay, which was described as Murano...Chinese Murano?Romanian?
Alghough it's handmade and got a rough pontil,I don't suspect it of being Murano.
Any suggestions will be appreciated.
Thanks for looking.
Dear Ivonne magnificent glass really. I am quite sure it is not Italian, I do not think it is Chinese because it looks wider and heavier than the chinese glass I know perhaps some small English studio=)
Thanks Kevin.Mike,Silvia, smiata and inky for the loves:)
Silvia,I really appreciate you like it!In fact,it's quite heavy and solid piece of glass. What is more I start to like it,as it matches colours in my living room .
Thanks Peggy and aghcollect for the loves:)
Thanks Sean for the love:)
I'm sure lots of us sympathise with your day and the outcome.....purchasing a second best because you had to get something! Right?
It's not a second best Ivonne and I can see why you got it. I don't think it's Chinese - they just don't do that colour or that sort of fine twisted moulding.
I'm wondering too about the Romanian glass...it seems well made like this.
I hope you learn to love this, and if not, it's a memory piece of your day!!
Thank you so much,Karen for your supporting comment!
I hope to meet the seller again, then I'll ask him.
Thank you Rick,Karen, surfdub,Sean, agh, sklo, inky, smiata, kivatinitz, mikelv and vetraio for the loves:)
