Found this in a box of old brass and have no idea what it is or what it was used for! It measures 8" long from tip of handle to end of tube. The tube at the handle end has an spike in it , as if for piercing something with an outer tube that moves back and forth and locks with the central lever. The other end of the tube has no moving parts. No threads on any pieces. The large end handle has a hollowed out section that when pivoted fits over the spike. The larger handle has a no "12" stamped on it. It weighs 311g. The spike ends tube has a ringed section as if to hold a pipe or something?? Any thoughts would be appreciated.... As I think my wife has grown tired of me asking her to research it! :)
Can't wait to see what this does! Very interesting!
Hopefully somebody will be able to tell us, driving us both mad.
Thanks for the love Rustfarm.
it looks like the piece missing from an old tattoo gun a friend was selling the other day!

Could this tool be for removing the primer cap from shotgun shells when reloading the shells ?
Hi slackjack
Thanks for the comment, however after taking on board what you have said, the measurement from the handle to the pin is only 20mm a bit too small for a cartridge, but it was something we had never even possibly considered.
we will keep looking for answers but thank you.
Hi Again slackjack
Let us first apologise.. We think you are indeed correct. Sorry my lack of knowledge on Shotguns and shells, led me to believe you would need to put in the entire shell and not just the end piece.
Thank you so much..
I can get a good nights sleep now we know! :)
