I'm pretty new to art glass but I bought this little gem a while back and I love it. Can anybody enlighten me as to what this style is called or how old it might be, who made them etc? I could look at it all day. It's about 8" high and the base approximately 3" diameter.
Hey Hoipolloi that's Japanese!
This decor of a clear coloured glass mixed with an opaque white was used on vases like this, bowls , cups and decanters and most were sold under the name Kamei Glass Osaka. 1960s. You might see things like this but with green, blue, red and occasionally dark grey.
Cool!
Wow! Cool. Thanks Racer. I'm picking another couple of pieces up today. I hope you'll cast your educated eye over them :) Thanks again x
....Also reminds me of ALROSE italian Glass with the stripes..........just remind me of it. Glass can be confusing.....LOL
