I need of some help. This spoon seems to be somewhat of a rare object. It was made in Japan, when, no one knows. What it is used for, I guess it can be used for anything. It has a name and a purpose.
I have been in touch with Old Charter, they have never seen anything like it. Have sent pics. to different group of Bartenders, always get the same answer.
So, if anyone has a clue as to what this is, or as to the date. Would like to know.
Love a Mystery !!!!!
The spoon is a Café Brûlot Spoon for lighting the Brandy, or in this case Old Charter Bourbon.
Café Brûlot is a famous drink served at Arnaud’s in The French Quarter in New Orleans.
I own an original Old Charter Spoon from the 1950s, still in it's original packaging.
I'd be glad to send a photo, to add to this article.
