I have had this piece for thirty years and purchased it from an elderly dealer in York. No marks, wonderful quality. I would love to know more about it. The turquoise is undamaged,, the silver wire is securely attached and wonderful to hold!
Thanks any and everyone who can help.
Beautiful
gorgeous !!
Just a thought it looks art and crafts with a modern feel, may be Scandinavian.
I would wear this all the time!
Love it!
I should wear it. I almost never do, and I have had it more than half my life, it's like a pet, well, like a good old book is a friend. I guess I need a chain?
Can you tell it has a satin finish?
It's lovely and I would wear it too!...you must find a chain...and yes you can tell it has a satin finish.....:-)
Any marks of any kind on it?
not a single one. It is such a substantial piece you would think there would be some kind of indentifier. Who would make something this big and beautiful and not sign it in some way?
I'm treating myself to a chain was going to sell.
This is a really nice piece. I'm thinking along the same lines as valentino here because what I see when I look at it is the artisan used a fork to construct this from. Back in the 70's, a lot of people were making jewelry from forks and spoons and didn't think to sign the pieces. That's how I see this piece anyway.
As far as the turquoise goes, if you see silver-like flecks in it, then it's probably Morenci Turquoise which has iron-pyrite in it. Otherwise, it may be Kingman Turquoise.
Regardless, it is a fabulous piece. Make your statement with it. ;)
