I have this really well designed kettle that is heavy and I am assuming it's aluminum, although I first thought it was pewter. The lid screws on. The finish is interesting too,. Can't find any markings on it. Any ideas? Thanks, all.

Hi!...do you think it might have been used in a workshop or the same and not for domestic use....because if you say it's heavy, imagine how much worse it would it would be filled with water...and also wouldn't the handle get hot?...just a thought....:-)
