    This is one of my finest and most favorite pieces. I came from an estate auction, a very high end collection out of a home in Princeton, NJ. Pieces with decoration such as this were usually made for the more wealthy colonial Americans. This could be an American made piece, some who have looked at it agree it could be very early NJ bog iron. It is most likely pre 1800. It is large, and very very heavy. Please feel free to comment!

      hotairfan, yes I agree, only the trammels made for more wealthy people were decorated like this thus making them more rare. Thanks Roycroft!!!
