I'm trying to find out more about our child's chair. We recently bought this from an antique shop and had the seat pad reupholstered. I believe the chair is c. 1860 and would have originally been part of a set with a small table to make the chair a high chair then a small chair and table for a child. There would have been a brass bar across the arms. The wood is mahogany and I think the chair is quite rare and I have struggled to find many other examples. I understand the chair probably originated from Fife, Scotland. If anyone can help with the history of this piece we would love to know more, thank you.
