We have and 1804 big coin diameter 2.4 inches (6 centimeter) and the mass is more than 100 grams. This coin is given by the Grand father of my boyfriend when he was like 5 or 7 yrs old his grandfather use to collect antiques and he also gave my boyfriend some other coins but this coin is kind a strange and we don't have idea. We did some research but i don't think this is a real one but this might be use with something. Hope someone can tell us about this big coin

A United States silver dollar. Quite badly worn.

NOT GENUINE - IT IS A REPLICA
#1) There were only 8 known 1804 dated dollars minted as "presentation pieces" and none EVER made it into circulation
#2) A genuine dollar would weigh slightly less than 27 grams (not 100 grams) and the diameter would only be 39-40mm (not 60mm)

Yeah this is a cast. But I'm kind na curious and intrigued why it was so big. This might be use with something might be a token of an event or who knows :)
