I believe this brass bear to be from about late 1970's or early 1980's. It stands 12 inches high & the width base is at it's widest point is 7 1/4 inches by 5 1/2 inches. The bear is screwed to the base & they have started to slightly rust. The rest is in pretty good condition. Can anyone else give a closer age to the bear.
Thanks nutsabotsa6 for such kind words were are you from & thanks for the loves I paid a bit more then I usually would but I just like it & since I have moved to Northern Queensland for some reason I have started to collect animals. My main collections before we sold everything & the move was Crystal & glass in all shapes & forms. Now it's completely different maybe it has something to do with limited room

Hi zowie. He's lovely, I love bears. I have ceramic ones, stone & wood carved ones but none in brass, nor have I ever seen one for sale, or I'd have got it :) very nice
Hi Zowie. Has hubby finished cleaning him yet? Now I have a brass one too. Like you, my 'collectings' changing from glass to animals, without moving! Lol. I still like the glass but have had to cut back to make room for the animals! :)
PS. It would be nice to be able to, roughly, date the brass. I don't know if there's anyway, like style, look or something that can give a clue as to how old they are.
