The pieces made by Loetz for the Vienna firm of E. Bakalowits Söhne always seem to have a little something extra, and this unassuming little beaker is one such piece. The iridescence in person is very strong, heavily saturated in hues of teal blue and purple. The polished pontil is very precise, and there is a nice folded over rim. All of about 3" tall.

modest perfection
It's a little large for that, Al (3" X 3") - but it's small for a drinking vessel also - I wonder if it couldn't have been some sort of tasting cup?
