    Found this at a home owners auction, burried on a table and dirty. I grabbed it up and took it home for a good cleanning. It had no label on it but after researching for hours I am pretty sure that it is a Murano. Can anyone varify and give me a little history on it? It is 13" tall and 7" wide from tail to belly.

      Good thanks Munro.
      I'm almost sure this is not from Murano, and is more likely 60s Japanese.
      Murano glass would have a much more detailed and I guess refined modeling of the bird and a polished base.
      I couldn't say which Japanese maker made this - they were imported a lot in the 60s from a number of makers. As a Japanese glassy I think it's a good one!!

      Do you feel as if it would be worth looking into further from a value standpoint, or not bother?

      Maybe check your local ebay for Japanese animals on sale. Depends where you are for what they are worth.
