My name is Donald Reed and I was in the U.S. Army based in Frankfurt, Germany in 1967 - 1969. I aquired the Hummels for my mother and grandmother. During the time period that I purchased the Hummels the shop owner told me that i was not allowed to take them out of the country! But being in the army I was blessed with a "Diplomatic Passport" and knew that i would not be searched at customs! As for the hutch, mother has had it for as long as I can remember and I'm now 66 years old. I am not looking to sell, I want to pass this collection on to my children and would like to know the value if at all possible! Thank you for your time!
