1950s Purepac Rubbing Alcohol Bottles still sealed

This is a crate of 12, sealed bottles of rubbing alcohol i found in the basement of a hospital in downtown L.A. they are in a wood crate as the last two pictures show. the date stamped on it says it was packed in 1951. the bottles are still about half full as you can see in the first pic. just wondering if anyone knew anything about this really cool find. i left them in the basement where i found them and will ask the owner if i can have them next time im there, so better pix to follow i hope.
if anyone knows anything about them, any info would be really appreciated. Thanks for helpin out :)
