    A Kukri with marking on the blade along with an symbol of a fish. It is approx. 15 1/2 inches long. The handle is wood. . . The sheath is leather with brass trimming. On the upper part of the sheath is a dove laying in a tree branch and the band just below it also has markings and down the length of the sheath. The sheath has a brass tip. The leather appears very old and is sewn together but still intact. I have no clue of the era or any history of this machete.

      You have a "Kukri" knife. The link below will tell you the history. I do not know of the "fish" symbol, as to it being a trademark, or decoration.
