this is an actuall 1942 US Navy anchor weighs 8000lbs. Just a cool piece with US Navy words in the metal and some numbers.. Found this on the side of the road in heavy bushes on my way to the scrap yard. picked it with my boom truck. Dont know the history of it but I was told its the real deal and could have been used many times in war. prob from a battle ship and on the sea floors around the world. someplace or someone would display it properly but I need help finding out its history and value..

Anchor were reused from an old ship to a newer one quite often, they are very material heavy and use a lot of raw material to make. this may have been used several times before you discovered it. Just no way to date them.....that I know of .
