Hello I found this today I think it is made out of a buffalo jawbone with a painted portrait on an Indian on the widest part on bone. Has a small leather strap for carrying I assume. It's about 14'' long. Are these considered "war clubs"? I'm curious if anyone knows anything about these like what tribe it may be from, it's age, what it was used for or any other info would be greatly appreciated I love this thing! Thanks for your help

We have one very similar but without a painting. It washed up on the beach on Long Beach Island, NJ after a storm. We never did identify the animal it came from but it is unusual.

      Modern decorative piece.

      Probably a deer jaw bone.
