Just found this today for $ 8. Smokey Grey in color. Believe it is KOSTA (BODA) and done by VICKE LINDSTRAND. Very good wear on the bottom for Age. Are earlier pieces only signed KOSTA ?? Not sure of date made and do not know that much about this yet -- but it is Signed on the bottom. Looks like ??
KOSTA LH 1797 - then looks like a little 3 or something under that.
As for Size -- it is a WHOPPER!!
~ 15 inches LONG
~ 9.75 inches WIDE
~ 2.50 inches HIGH

Does the number look like 1797? ......and it that little number a *3* or something underneath the other number? What it that number for?
Funny...the place where I bought it is one of these World Thrift stores where people donate stuff for other countries. Sometimes you go in there and prices are a bit crazy. Sure, it is a World Thrift store and you have to look at the price and realize it for the item (plus the extra $$ is like a *bigger donation* for the cause) BUT someone must have not seen this was signed......LOL.....and it was right near the front. Glad I decided to stop by there on an impulse..
Yes Rose, it is Vicke Lindstrand. The LH is the mark was used for her hand formed items. I couldn't find the item number for this (1797), but it dates after 1962 but before 1973 when she no longer worked for Kosta. The item numbers she used from 1962 - 63, were 1640-1784, so yours came after that. Here's a known piece with the same LH as yours.

So dates between 1962 <----> 1973 but maybe closer to like 1965 ( maybe) ? Good to know. Thanks. What does that other little mark that looks like a backwards 3 mean, or anything at all?
I am happy for only $8 purchase -- must be worth some coin as his stuff is wanted stuff.
I think I will refer to it as *The Whopper*......LOL
