This vase really struck me as unusual in a couple aspects: The design is one I hadn't seen before, and it is ribbed. Since I like fans very much, I added it to my collection. Nice polished pontil. The last two pictures show the ribbing but it is hard to see. Kralik or Welz?
kralik, cool piece
I particularly admire this......Lovely.
Thanks. Reminds me of tortoise shell. It thought this the most striking of the pieces he had. It fits in nicely with my other fans.
Love the colors!!
very cool colors
Beautiful colors!
Kralik? Really? I had one of these, I think it was solid yellow...Goofy me, I gave it away! haha It figures! Nice vase.
Most likely Ruckl, not Kralik.

Thanks for the loves everyone. A particularly striking vase in person.
The vase in the link, claimed to be Rückl, is an example which color wise does not even match the drawing. The drawing has only yellow and green in the vase body and blue pulls. The vase being claimed to match the decor has both red, and a dark color in the spatter, in addition to the green and yellow. The pulls in the linked drawing are also a different color than represented in the "primary documentation" being used to support the attribution. :-) I am sure if the Rückl décor "Jade Shimmy Pfau"had those additional colors the line art would have included it. Personally, I would think that if one is going to use "primary documentation" to support an attribution, the drawing and the glass would at least have to match each other.
Based on those differences, which I believe one should never ignore when making attributions, I would find the leap in that post to Rückl to be highly questionable. I agree with the Kralik attribution,.
Great vase in a striking décor.
In the above statement:
The pulls in the linked drawing are also a different color than represented in the "primary documentation" being used to support the attribution.
I meant to say:
The pulls in the vase are also a different color than represented in the "primary documentation" being used to support the attribution.
What color pulls does the Kralik line art drawing show?
I vote Kralik
Interesting link added in post #8.
Clearly, with the most cursory examination, the decor on the vase and the decor on the line art are substantially different.
Similar, sure, but SIMILAR DOESN"T EQUATE TO THE SAME. Most collectors would take a more precise approach to empirical study and attributions.

I agree Scott. It would appear that once again, the absence of artwork or production documents from Kralik, somehow means that a very poor application of the Rückl décor artwork is correct.
Forget the pull colors..... the main spatter glass itself does not match...... pull colors do not even really matter.
The fact that the glass colors of the linked vase do not match the Rückl artwork being used to identify it has absolutely nothing to do with, or any relevance to, what artwork is or is not available from another company....
That is kind of like saying.... this "green" is "red"..... and I can prove it because you do not have any documents that say it is not..... Not sure I understand the logic in that train of thought.... if there actually is any.....
The Kralik line art doesn't even show pulls. :)
