Large French Art Deco Opalescent Glass Verlux Art Glass Bowl 

This is a gorgeous example of French Opalescent glass from the Art Deco period, produced by Verlux France.

There are several schools of thought which surround the glass by Verlux. In later years the factory became associated with the production of glass for culinary use as well as jars & bottles for the food industry, trading as BSN (Boussois Souchon Neuvesel). Prior to this however, accurate information has yet to be firmly established, but it is also believed that Verlux produced their opalescent glass at Choisy–le-Roi, and that it was a second signature used by Etling.

When it comes to Opalescent glass produced from this period, nothing can quite compete with the French glass factories based at Choisy-le-Roi. The opalescent qualities of this glass are always exceptional, as this large charger undeniably demonstrates.
