Does anyone know anything about this pair of scissors? I got it from my grandma's house a few days ago, and all I know is that it's German, it says Weltfrieden on one side, which means 'world peace', and from what I can make out on the other, Stahlwaaren R. G. Solingen. I found out that Solingen is a place in Germany that is known as "the city of blades".
does grandma know you stole her scissors i still love them even if they are
actually she died, and my parents found these cleaning out her house.
@amberm, the scissors are beautiful! You could try Google image ..and enter the info that is printed on the scissors, then click the image that. Best matches. what yours, it will take you to a site? that should be able to give you info that you are looking for such as history and worth. My mom passed away recently and we found a very old pair of shears and by doing a Google image search is how we found the info we were looking for. @Vanskyock24, your comment is very disrespectful and uncalled for! Pop you are always trying to be the enforcer of the rules, the first of which is keep it respectfull. Your Idiot remark deserves an apology. This site should be for everyone, not just those that have time to hang out all the time.
