Just bought it 15 minutes ago and haven't done any research yet. hopefully anybody knows the artist because i'm such a laisy skunk.
I guess this art genre is like the european gypsy painting done by hundreds of artists in south america. hopefully somebody can read the signature. looks like the name might begin with Sam...?
the canvas is stretched on a quite rudimentary frame, not on a professional stretchers frame and shows some age on the backside.
i will add a pic later on the one i took has been too flurry...
I DO THINK IT IS A GAUCHO PORTRAIT BUT PERHAPS IT IS BRAZILIAN NOT ARGENTINIAN....
Possible as well... it seems to be rather a guache than an oil painting...
