Back in the day batteries needed to be checked now and then. This was a caddy holding the gauges to do that test. Today most batteries are sealed and the items are no longer necessary. Just one of many items in a gas station where the gas attendant would help you with your car.

Thank you Pop_abides! I found this at a automotive swap meet in northern Indiana. My brother and I both worked at the gas station all through high school.
I was thinkin' that it was just as common for us to work atr a gas station as boys as it is for this generation to work at Mcdonalds ! Thanks for sharing...........Bob.
