This is an unmarked set I am trying to identify. I can not find any markings on it at all. It is porcelain and has an Asian Elder on it and some birds. Pretty pattern, but can't find anything like it to help me identify it. Anyone know the name or a good website to get more info?

One of our Asian experts may come by and comment, JoyB. I can't see the hallmark on the base, is there one?

Unfortunately there are no hallmarks anywhere that I can find.

Very nice JoyB :)....Sometimes on large sets they will only mark the main pieces like the tea or coffee pot. Then again it could have had a paper label. Here's a grest site I use for reference when I find Asian pieces. Color, shape, and design can help ID pieces too if there's no mark.

Thank you so much mikelv85! I will check it out! This is more from my mom in law, who loved anything to do with tea. I have several different kinds to get info on. Some blue and white I will post pics of later that are marked with Japanese or Chinese symbols on the bottom. Hopefully the site will help me i.d. those as well :) Thanks so much for the love!

Wow mikelv85! There is so much info on there! Is there anyway for me to distinguish between Chinese and Japanese?

These are transfer-printed, as opposed to hand-painted. They are most likely western in origin.

Running my hand on them, they do feel way to smooth to be painted!

I have an almost identical plate that has Royal Stafford China England on the back. I have never been able to find anything similar until now.
