I picked this chair up at a thrift shop in Richmond VA. It was an unusual chair. I have never seen a wood chair like this before. The back is cut out, almost like a scroll. The top of the chair back is pointed. It has a rush seat, no arms, and a straight back. I like to research furniture before I alter the chair in any way.

Can anyone suggest a way for me to research this chair, since I have only gotten one response, thank you Roycroftbooksfromme1. I am ready to paint, but really hate to do that before I have identified this chair. Thanks!
