My mom gave me my great-grandmother's watch. I found out from a local watch repair store owner that is was made in 1954, has gold over-lay and gemstones in the back. Inscription of L4 under the name 'Bulova' and a serial number of 1058371 at the bottom. It is in need of a new wind up part ($75 repair). But that is all I know.
Hoping to find out if this is a rare vintage piece or really anything at all. Thanks.
Did you ever find out if this watch has any value as a vintage piece? I have the exact same watch; it belonged to my mom. It has a slightly different Kreisler watchband. The serial number on mine is 820635.
