    Stamps on bottom include: Germany, 157 (at least I think 1st position is a one), 7
    16" to top of lid
    Words along bottom rim are "hoch deutsches lied. Hoch deutscher trank.

      The mold number is in fact 157. This was manufactured by the Matthias Girmscheid company in Höhr, Germany which is now Höhr-Grenzhausen. If you look closely, (maybe close to the handle?) you should find the initials G.K., the artist who designed the stein. Unfortunately, the complete name of the artist, at least at this point, has been lost to history. It probably dates from the early 1900s (1900-1930). The saying translates to something like "Long Live German Song. Long Live German Drink".
