This bowl was a recent gift from my husband; he knew I had admired it for quite sometime, and very sweetly surprised me with it on my birthday. :) It is a frosted martele glass bowl of very pale green (almost colorless) glass deepening to a rich spring green at the rim, and is just over 6 inches across. The mount is solid brass, and raises the bowl up to catch the light and to show off the color gradiation, too.
I am personally leaning towards Rindskopf as the maker of this bowl, since they did both martele and vases in a clear to green gradiant, but other makers are very possible, as Kralik and others also used the martele pattern in their pieces. (By the way, this piece came to us from Ireland.)
The colour is beautiful !
Thanks so much, Ivonne!
